Product Requirements Document (PRD) — Completion checklist

How to use: tick an item only after inspecting the completed record and its evidence. Every unticked item needs an OPEN- entry with an owner, or a written, approved disposition.

Content checks

  • [ ] 01. Problem and user personas — Each persona cites at least one evidence source.
  • [ ] 02. Business objectives and non-goals — Objectives match the charter IDs; at least one non-goal is listed.
  • [ ] 03. User journeys and workflow diagrams — Each journey step names the actor and system response.
  • [ ] 04. Functional capabilities with IDs — Each capability maps to at least one journey step.
  • [ ] 05. Nonfunctional quality attributes with thresholds — Every attribute has a measurable threshold and a measurement method.
  • [ ] 06. Data privacy and clinical safety needs — Each need references the risk screen or DPIA item it comes from.
  • [ ] 07. Dependencies constraints and assumptions — Each assumption has an owner and a validation date.
  • [ ] 08. Priority and release scope — Every CAP is assigned to a release or marked deferred.
  • [ ] 09. Acceptance and signoff — Signoff names a person with authority from the charter.

Record control checks

  • [x] Document ID follows KAI-<PRODUCT>-PRD-NNN and is unique in the product.
  • [x] Product, version and commit SHA match the related records.
  • [x] No placeholder rows remain; every gap names an owner and an OPEN- item.
  • [x] Every cited link, file path and ID resolves.
  • [ ] Security, privacy, AI/ML and medical-software applicability checked and routed to qualified reviewers where relevant.
  • [x] No patient identifiers, secrets or production data copied into the record.
  • [x] Nothing was taken from the worked examples as if it were evidence.
  • [ ] Named independent reviewer completed review; approval recorded with date.
